Ingredients:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1 tablespoon sugar (for topping, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pour the melted butter into a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the self-rising flour, sugar, and milk until smooth.
Pour the batter over the melted butter (do not stir).
Evenly scatter the blackberries on top of the batter.
Sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar if desired (for a crispier top).
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
