Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) spaghetti
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
24 oz (680 g) marinara or spaghetti sauce
1 can (14 oz / 400 g) diced tomatoes (optional)
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp fresh parsley or dried parsley flakes (for garnish)

Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package directions until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the meat sauce:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes (if using), oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Let the sauce simmer for 10–15 minutes to blend the flavors.
3. Combine pasta and sauce:
In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked spaghetti with the meat sauce until well coated.
4. Assemble the bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spread half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased baking dish.
Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Add the remaining spaghetti mixture, then top with the rest of the cheese.
5. Bake:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Serve:
Garnish with parsley before serving.
