Ingredients:

3–4 Vidalia sweet onions

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare onions: Peel the onions and slice them into thick rings (about ½ inch). Separate the rings and arrange them evenly in a baking dish.

3. Add butter: Cut the butter into small pieces and scatter them over the onions.

4. Season: Sprinkle the onions with salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and freshly ground black pepper.

5. Add cheeses: Top the onions evenly with cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the onions are tender and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

7. Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as a side dish or snack!
