Ingredients:

For the Dough:

3 cups all-purpose flour (360g)

2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet)

¼ cup sugar (50g)

½ teaspoon salt

1 large egg

½ cup warm milk (120ml)

¼ cup warm water (60ml)

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (60g)

For the Filling (optional but recommended):

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

2 tablespoons sugar

For Brushing:

1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Butter or sweetened condensed milk (for glazing after baking)

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Add warm milk, warm water, and the egg. Mix to form a sticky dough.

Add softened butter and knead until the dough becomes smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).

Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Bread:

Punch the dough down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.

Spread the softened butter and sprinkle sugar over the dough.

Roll it up tightly into a log, then cut into even pieces.

Arrange the pieces in a greased loaf pan.
