✅ Ingredients

400g thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin)

1 medium onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped (optional)

1 tablespoon oil or butter

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of provolone cheese or any melty cheese (like American or mozzarella)

2 hoagie rolls or sandwich bread, sliced

Mayonnaise or cheese sauce (optional)

 

✅ Preparation

1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the oil or butter.

2. Sauté the onions (and green pepper) until soft and slightly golden (about 4–5 minutes).

3. Add the thinly sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through (about 5–7 minutes).

4. Lower the heat, place the cheese slices over the cooked beef and let them melt.

5. Mix the melted cheese into the meat gently using a spatula, or leave the cheese layered on top.

6. Toast the sandwich bread lightly in a pan or oven.

7. Spread mayonnaise or cheese sauce on the bread if desired.

8. Stuff the bread with the cheesy beef mixture.

9. Serve hot and enjoy!
