Ingredients
Dumplings (fresh or frozen, chicken, beef, or vegetable filling)
4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 green onion, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
A handful of fresh spinach or bok choy (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
A pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Preparation Method
1. In a large pot, heat the chicken broth over medium heat.
2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to the broth, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to enhance the flavor.
3. Gently drop the dumplings into the boiling broth and cook according to package instructions (fresh dumplings: 4–5 minutes, frozen dumplings: 6–8 minutes).
4. If desired, add spinach or bok choy during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
