Ingredients:

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

1 cup sour cream

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

2 medium ripe bananas, mashed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar, sour cream, and butter until smooth.

3. Add the eggs and mix until well combined.

4. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

7. If using, fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.

8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

9. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

10. Cool completely before adding glaze (optional).

 

Optional Banana Glaze (like in the photo):

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1–2 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter, then stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, and just enough milk to get a pourable glaze.

2. Pour over cooled brownies and let set.
