Ingredients:

1 sheet of puff pastry or pizza dough

2–3 tablespoons of cream cheese or mayonnaise (optional)

100 g shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)

100 g diced cooked ham or turkey

1 egg (for brushing)

Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

👨‍🍳 Preparation:

Prepare the dough:
Roll out the puff pastry or pizza dough into a rectangle on a sheet of baking paper.

Add the filling:
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or mayonnaise (if using).
Evenly sprinkle shredded cheese, followed by diced ham or turkey.
Add chopped parsley or green onions for extra flavor.
Season with salt and pepper if desired.

Roll and cut:
Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log shape.
Cut the log into pieces about 4–5 cm (2 inches) thick.
Make a vertical cut on each piece (without cutting all the way through), then gently twist each one.

Bake:
Place the twisted rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops with beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve:
Let cool slightly and enjoy warm!
