Ingredients:
For the bread:
1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup (130 g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
1 3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the apple mixture:
2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the cinnamon-sugar swirl:
1/3 cup (65 g) brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the glaze (optional):
1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
2. Prepare the apple mixture:
In a small bowl, mix the chopped apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.
3. Make the batter:
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Mix in the vanilla.
In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with milk until combined.
4. Layer the bread:
Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan.
Add half of the apple mixture and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar swirl.
Add the remaining batter on top, then the rest of the apples and cinnamon-sugar swirl.
Lightly swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
5. Bake:
Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Prepare glaze (optional):
Mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
